FAQ
Bare Metal Cloud is a flexible, automation-driven platform for quick deployments of bare metal servers. It allows you to provision highly customized instances running directly on next-gen hardware in just a few minutes via API or the user-friendly portal. These environments can be effortlessly integrated, scaled, or otherwise managed with IaC tools, various SDKs, and the user-friendly portal. By essentially allowing you to rent bare metal server resources, Bare Metal Cloud combines cloud agility with the stability and high performance of single-tenant servers.
Depending on the selected operating system, you can spin up a Bare Metal Cloud server in as little as 60 seconds. Typical deployment times range from 2 to 3 minutes, with some taking up to 10 minutes.
With on-demand access to over 50 server instances, you can leverage bare metal cloud for high-performance workloads, latency-sensitive operations, sensitive workloads, or burst resources. The platform excels at anything from Kubernetes sandboxes, web and file servers, high-transaction databases, and data-intensive analytics to in-production AI inferencing, ML, and NLP workloads.
Bare Metal Cloud instances are deployable from Phoenix (AZ), Ashburn (VA), Chicago (IL), and Seattle (WA) in the U.S., as well as Amsterdam (NL) in the EU, and Singapore (SGP) in APAC.
Servers with pre-installed Ubuntu, CentOS, Alma Linux, Rocky Linux, Debian, Windows, ESXi, Proxmox, Virtuozzo, or Oracle Linux operating systems are available in phoenixNAP’s BMC. You can even install Ubuntu in RAM and use it to install a custom OS. For advanced networking options, Netris software is also available as a pre-configured OS.
